WalkmanDude is proud to present to you the most iconic iMac that Apple ever created, the iMac G3!  This 600Mhz machine is maxed out with 1GB of RAM and upgraded with a brand new large 128GB SSD conversion making this machine significantly faster than the day it was purchased! The thermal paste has been replaced, boards and fans dusted out, and the PRAM Battery has been replaced. This is the absolute best vintage computer time capsule you will find on eBay. The iMac is loaded with tons late 90s to early 2000s era memorabilia. This machine does a lot and is completely ready to use! The machine dual boots into OS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.4, loads Windows 98 and plays Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega games! It can even browse vintage websites like its 1999! WalkmanDude has spent hundreds of hours bringing these machines back to life and we truly want you to have a fantastic trip down memory lane and enjoy the vintage computing experience! 


An easy to understand user manual with pictures that explains how to operate all the functions of the machine and run all of the software is included. The machine has multiple excellent word processing applications and you can easily transport documents from the computer to any modern machine with a standard USB thumb drive and even google drive can open the document files! There is also a bootable backup partition with a full backup of the entire machine and all of the software so you can always bring the machine back to the original state when it was shipped. 


This machine is capable of both audio and video editing with iMovie and Sound Studio. The firewire port is quite fast even by todays standards. The machine is capable of burning CDs. Some music is already in the iTunes library to get you started burning your favorite mix cds! If you were more of a Winamp person, rest assured that is also on the machine. Your tunes are going to sound better than ever on the included Bose Mediamate Speakers! The speakers are in very good condition with just a couple of minor scratches and really add to the full experience of this iMac. 


This iMac even connects to the internet through the ethernet port and has been programmed with Netscape Navigator to connect to the PROTOWEB which is a vintage web-server that hosts 1000s of vintage websites that completely recreate the experience of surfing the web in the 90s and early 00s. This is something you have to see to believe. It's wild to browse old school websites. It really immerses you in the era.


The Logitech F310 gamepad drivers have been installed and is ready to use, it is a top notch modern gamepad that works wonderfully with vintage Macs and Windows 98 and works in many of the games. Late 90s early 00s computer gaming was predominately designed for the keyboard but some games are much easier to play with the gamepad so of course we included one!


WalkmanDude makes these machines to rekindle that feeling of vintage computing, so a majority of the focus is on the OS 9 side of things, however, you can launch most of the OS 9 software in OS X if that is what you prefer. * Sega, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo - Most of the games work. Some may not work due to conflicts with the emulation software. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of games and I have not been able to test them all. I haven't had any not work but I can't guarantee that all of the console games will work. 


The included Logitech Gamepad DOES work with Sega, Super Nintendo and Nintendo.


This is a fantastically restored and maxed out iMac G3 with years of fun installed and ready to go. The case is in very good condition but when you get closer you can see that it has some wear on it but nothing notable. Your new to you vintage time machine will be professionally packed by UPS store and shipped with insurance just in case anything happens. *** READ: The CD-RW drive WORKS but the disc sometimes gets stuck coming out so you need to pull the disc out with tweezers, over time the rollers wear out and stop ejecting the disc. Purchase with the assumption that it is not going to work forever. You DO NOT NEED the CD-ROM drive to operate any of the software that is included in this package. If you plan on burning a lot of discs we can negotiate an external firewire drive.
